Crabwise Creative Cooperative – Nate’s Stream of Consciousness

The worst part of making art is the feeling you get; knowing that if this gal or that guy would just hear and listen ABOUT the piece/content they would at least have the necessary information to process whether or not they enjoyed it, but not being able to project that knowledge to the recipient.

Crabwise exists to bridge the gap between creator and receiver. Many artists, musicians, fans, foodies, and patrons know what roads to take and which bridges to cross, many don’t. Many search for new ones, most don’t. Crabwise exists to challenge the paths most taken. The bridge has been invented for thousands of years, and we’re not new to the idea. However, we exist among different real estate. Our trees, grass, sidewalks, structures are different. The only constant is the water that flows underneath.

If you analyze a world where imitation is everywhere, Crabwise really doesn’t break the mold. What sets Crabwise apart is the desire to focus on the finer things in life, things that we all enjoy, and direct that focus back to the audience.  It’s a saturation of ideas, a cluster of emotions, an extroverted glimpse into the invisible, yet otherwise untappable mind of people who create something out of nothing.

Sharing our ideas with each other is very primitive to human nature. It’s this simplicity of free thought mixed with focused energy that give way to snowballing creativity and the availability for the public to not only witness, but also reach out and participate.  Crabwise is not just an idea, but also a medium designed to help process the creative and insightful dimension which can be treacherous and unpredictable, but also serene and completely unpredictable.

Crabwise is much like a plate of nachos. The content might be corny, cheesy, and full of random toppings, but is always stuck together and not easily pulled apart. Each ingredient is good on it’s own, but GREAT as a part of the whole. We are also just a bunch of dips 🙂

Good content needs a good vehicle, just as bad content needs a good vehicle. We at Crabwise don’t discriminate and do not debate the finer details of subjectivity. We do, however, know objectively the importance of not just promotion, but also community and personal involvement. Through avenues such as; internet social media, street-beat social media, workplace social media, telephone pole social media, Landline phone social media, all forms of social media, Crabwise dictates it’s own social equity and investors aren’t asked to just donate monetarily, but MOSTLY socially.

If music was socialism Crabwise would be Norway, music being a central component to it’s identity. Musicians taking care of artists taking care of listeners taking care of artisans taking care of patrons taking care of musicians.
